GIA lens –the best protection for your eyes

Today’s consumers do not only expect ophthalmic lenses to delivery excellent vision correction, they also expect lighter, thinner, safer lenses that have a superior cosmetic appearance. Many people worldwide experience compromised vision, comfort, safety and cosmetic appearance from their conventional ophthalmic lenses. Theses wearers continue to suffer because they are wearing heavy glass lenses or thick conventional plastics lenses. In addition, these conventional lenses do not provide the safety of impact resistance or UV protection.

GIA lenses are made of polycarbonate with impact resistance approximately that of bulletproof glass. GIA lenses incorporate a strong cross-link pattern that binds all molecules together, providing maximum safety for wearers. Polycarbonate has proven to be invaluable for use in outer space because of its thin, light yet impact-resistant properties.

GIA lens is 35% lighter than conventional plastic lenses and 56% lighter than glass lenses. GIA lenses are 10% thinner than glass and 34% thinner than plastic. In addition, GIA lenses block 100% of harmful UV light and GIA anti-reflective lenses delivery more than 99.7% light transmittance to allow the wearer to see even more clearly.
