Fitting Recommendations
  • Choose a frame that fits the patient’s face properly with the pupil as close to the center as possible. Do not select a frame with too large eyesizes.
  • Ask the patient to put the frame on and fit the frame as close as possible to the face without touching. Dot the demonstration lens at the center of the patient’s pupil.
  • Remove the frame and measure PD monocularly.
  • The Optical Center (OC) will generally be 2mm below the center of the pupil with pantoscopic angle approximately 8-10 degress.
  • It is recommended to choose a smaller eyesizes frame for high powers patient with high index lens to reduce the possible color aberration and prism effect.
  • It is highly recommended to prescribe Anti-Reflection lens to the patients with lens powers above power range of +2.00 to -300 diopters.
